My first Godwars trip, how I plan on getting Challenger in TFT and the final season of a must-watch Netflix series

Hi there and welcome back!

It's been a bit of a warm week, thankfully it's cooling down now! I've been busy on Runescape, Minecraft and Teamfight Tactics. I've also started watching the final series of one of my favourite ever Netflix shows. Let's get into it!

One of my long-term goals on Runescape has been to get all the drops (and title) from General Graardor in the original Godwars Dungeon. He's the first GW boss that I ever went to with a friend years ago, I remember my Granite Body and Dragon Platelegs, Dragon Longsword and Rune Kiteshield. My friend was in a Barrows set, which was the coolest thing ever

I managed to get the kill count to enter the boss by killing the Goblins in the Bandos area so I didn't need to use any food, although I did need to run away from anything with a combat level over 70!

And there he stood, a mass of green man so beautiful he'd make the Hulk jealous. We potted up, (super attack, strength and defence, of course) and started our attempt.

Needless to say it wasn't exactly smooth sailing. My friend was tanking the majority of damage so I only had to deal with the ranged attack, which was still chunking me super hard. After getting through most of my food, we managed to get the kill.

My first boss kill!

Unsurprisingly after that first kill I was a little worse for wear and we didn't manage another, although I had a great time.

Fast forward to now and I'm sitting on around two and a half thousand kill count for this green giant, a number I can see raising almost every day. I can also stay for as long as I like, usually coming back with more food then I started the trip with, a far cry from panic teleporting out half way through my second kill! I've currently got all the drops apart from the pet, which is a one in 5,000 chance, increasing in chance every 1,000 kill which currently puts me on a one in 1,667 chance per kill to get it.

I seem to be making pretty decent money from him too at the minute, with his bones alone being worth about 10k, meaning I make over 9.5k per kill using a Winter Storage scroll. I've also received a couple of hilts, plenty of God Sword shards and the occasional piece of Bandos equipment.

It was my goal to get the pet this week, but as of writing this I've had no such luck. Maybe next week...

I’ve also had an ephipabhy on TFT this week. I’ve never really played TFT with much regard to my rank before, but I’ve been enjoying it. I'm only Silver 3 at the minute, but I'm starting to get a much better idea of how to play effectively.

I have been trying to go Rebel with Blademaster or Blaster which seemed to work really well. However, one of the missions was to get the six bonus for Battlecast and well... I’ve got a new favourite! I’m sure it’s not the most efficient build, but I piled every mana and AP item onto Cassiopeia and she was almost impossible to kill once she had poison on a few enemies because of the Battlecast healing. I also saw a build online with a Cassio with two Statikk Shivs - night need to give it a go next time I go Battlecast!

I've not played a whole lot of League this week, but I did have a chance to play Yuumi with the mana changes to her E. As expected, it's not too bad early while she has a small mana pool and her E is naturally on quite a long cooldown. When you get a little later into the game (about level 9-12 I found), I noticed it a lot more. I'll have a play with different builds and see what comes out best.

Nether update!

Although I've not actually been to the Nether yet...

I wanted to start off by getting a base built and I thought it was the ideal time to try out this build I saw a little while ago. It took me tons of shovels to finish digging out and I've not got round to finishing all the rooms yet, but it's a great little base if you like something a little different.

Not gaming related but I've just got to mention this because I think it's an amazing series. It's a show about time travel based around a small German town, Winden. What starts off as a story about some two missing boys soon develops into a twisted web of relationships, decade old secrets and mysterious secret societies manipulating the timeline.

I'm half way through season three at the minute, so no spoilers!

If you've got Netflix and want to have your mind blown, I'd definitely recommend checking out Dark!

And that's a wrap for now. Hopefully I'll have good news from the Godwars Dungeon next week, until then I'll leave you in peace. Stay safe and see you soon!
